What is Turtle Mahjong?

Turtle Mahjong is a simply delightful Mahjong Solitaire that offers a subtle variation on the time-old puzzle experience. How to Play

Playing Turtle Mahjong is very familiar to any player who has played Mahjong Solitaire before. The aim is to clear the board by selecting two tiles for removal which are matching. Here's how you do it:

Click on any two tiles that are free and have the same image or match by the season and flower.
A tile is free if it can be slid left or right without any tiles on top of it.
Right-click and drag, swipe with two fingers, or use arrow keys (↑→↓←) to rotate the camera with a better view of the board.

Tips & Tricks

First, clear tiles in the center of the board because they will often have the most options.
Watch the edges of the board because they tend to have fewer options.
When stuck, try rotating the camera and see if a new pair has come into view.
Above all: patience is key! Take your time and soak in the calm atmosphere.

History

Turtle Mahjong was created as a Godot engine learning project. While intended to be simple and enjoyable, the developers admit that Windows and Linux versions may be less well tested and request comments from players if they encounter any issues. Sadly, for iOS users, the game is broken, so it's best to go with desktop for the full experience.
